This article applies to Clio Draft Pro subscriptions and provides information about account management, including account security, selecting your form libraries, and managing users, payment, and billing.
Account security
Sign in
- Go to draft.clio.com/signin.
- Enter your username and password or click Log in with Clio.
When you sign in, you will be automatically logged out of all other devices you are also signed in on. Clio Draft will also automatically sign you out after 24 hours of your last sign in and require your to sign in again.
Enable multi-factor authentication
Users with Administrator access can enable or disable multi-factor authentication.
- Log in to draft.clio.com.
- Click your profile icon (top right), then select Account from the menu.
- Click the Security subtab.
- In the section, Security, under Two-step verification, click Manage.
You will be taken to Clio's account security page. Once there, refer to the instructions in Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication to continue setting up your selected method of MFA.
Switch between organizations
If you are part of more than one organization within Clio Draft, you can easily switch between organizations and also set your preferred account as your default. Every time you log in you will automatically be in the default account.
If you have a Clio Draft Pro account, the organization you are logged into will always be displayed in the bottom left corner of Clio Draft. If you have a Clio Draft Pro X account, click your profile icon in the top right of the corner. Your organization will be displayed at the top of the menu.
Clio Draft Pro
To switch to a different organization:
- From Clio Draft, click the name of the current organization you are logged into (bottom left).
- Select the organization you want to switch to from your list of organizations.
To save a particular organization as your default organization:
- Using the steps above, switch to the organization you want to set as your default.
- Click the name of the organization again, then click Organization settings.
- Click Set as your default organization.
Clio Draft Pro X
If your firm has a Clio Draft Pro X account, learn how to change your organization name (for Clio Draft administrators), set your default organization, or switch between different organizations (accounts).
Manage form libraries
Clio Draft Pro users with Administrator access can manage access to different sets of forms for the firm. Depending on the needs of your firm, you may choose for users to see all forms in the database or you can choose specific sets.
Clio Draft's form libraries currently allows you to show or hide the following sets of forms
- California Judicial Council and County forms
- Federal Immigration forms.
To show or hide your firm's form libraries, follow these steps:
- Log in to draft.clio.com.
- Click your profile icon (top right), then select Account from the menu.
- Click Form libraries from the secondary navigation panel on the left.
- Use the checkboxes to select or deselect your sets.
- Click Save.
When you create or edit a project, you will be able to add documents from these libraries.
View your upcoming invoice and manage your plan and billing cycle
Users with Pro Accounts and with Administrator access can view and manage billing settings. Pro X users can refer to Clio Draft: Subscription and Billing Information for information related to their subscription and billing.
- Log in to draft.clio.com.
- From Clio Draft, click Team (bottom left). You can also reach this page by clicking your profile icon (top right) > Account > Subscription.
- Select the Plan details subtab. From this page you can
- view your next invoice,
- change your billing cycle between monthly and yearly,
- switch between Clio Draft Basic and Clio Draft Pro, and
- cancel your subscription.

If you are making adjustments to you plan, a modal will allow you to review the changes. To accept the changes, click Confirm and update on next invoice.
Note: Currently, some users may be unable to change from their monthly to a yearly plan. The Clio Draft team is in the process of making some changes to subscription plans. Check back in the future to make billing cycle changes.- Changes to your billing cycle will take effect on your subscription renewal date.
Download billing receipts
Administrators can download receipts.
- From Clio Draft, click Team (bottom left). You can also reach this page by clicking your profile icon (top right) > Account > Subscription.
- Select the Billing history subtab.
- Click the download icon next to a bill to view and download it.
Change payment method
Users with Administrator access can view and manage billing settings.
- From Clio Draft, click Team (bottom left). You can also reach this page by clicking your profile icon (top right) > Account > Subscription.
- Select the Payment method subtab.
- Click Update payment method.
- Fill all the payment fields, then click Update payment method to save the details.
Manage seats
Users with Administrator access can view and manage seats.
- From Clio Draft, click Team (bottom left). You can also reach this page by clicking your profile icon (top right) Account > Subscription.
- Click Add seats
- Choose the number of seats you wish to add.
- You will be informed of the additional cost for the seat.
- Click Add seat to confirm the change.
- Your card will be immediately charged.
- From Clio Draft, click Team (bottom left). You can also reach this page by clicking your profile icon (top right) Account > Subscription.
- Click the more icon (three verticial dots) for any seat without a user assigned. Click Remove seat, then click Remove seat again.
- Your next billing cycle will reflect the removed seat.
Manager users
Users with Administrator access can manage users.
Invite a user
Inviting or removing a user from a seat has no effect on your billing. You pay for the number of seats associated with your account regardless of if the seat is used by a user or not. Learn how to add or remove seats here.
- From Clio Draft, click Team (bottom left). You can also reach this page by clicking your profile icon (top right) Account > Subscription.
- For an Empty seat, click + add user.
- Select their positions and access level (Admin or Can share).
- Read about positions and access levels here.
- Enter the user's email.
- You can add multiple users at once. All users will have the same access levels, but this can be individually changed later. If you need to add seats for the number of emails you are sending you will be prompted to add those seats.
- Click Confirm.
An invitation email will be been sent to your user. Invited users will appear in your team list as Pending, until they join. During this time you can Resend or Revoke the invitation.
- Log in to draft.clio.com.
- From Clio Draft, click Team (bottom left). You can also reach this page by clicking your profile icon (top right) > Account > Subscription.
- For the user you wish to remove, click the vertical ellipses.

Click Remove User.
Note: If the user you want to remove is an admin, you first have to remove their access permission by unchecking the Admin checkbox. Then, you can remove the user. - Click Remove to confirm.
Data on your account created by an existing user will remain in the account even when the user is removed from the account.
Resend the invite
If users did not get their email invitation to join the organization's account, you can resent the invitation. Recommend to your invitee that they check their spam/junk folders in their email, and to add
no-reply@draft.clio.com to their safe sender list.
- From Clio Draft, click Team (bottom left). You can also reach this page by clicking your profile icon (top right) Account > Subscription.
- For the user who did not receive the original email, click Resend.
Update an email address
Email addresses cannot be updated. Instead, an administrator can remove an existing user from the account, then send a new invitation to the user using their new email address.
If you are a solo user on an account, and you don't have another administrator to help you remove your old email and re-invite you using your new email, you can log into your account and send a message to Clio's support team using the live chat to help you change your email.
Cancel your subscription
Users with Administrator access can cancel the organization's subscription.
- Log in to draft.clio.com.
- From Clio Draft, click Team (bottom left). You can also reach this page by clicking your profile icon (top right) > Account > Subscription.
- Click Plan details.
- Click Cancel subscription.
- Use the checkbox to acknowledge the message in the dialog box, then click Cancel Clio Draft subscription.
- Fill out the form, then click Cancel Clio Draft subscription.
Once you see the confirmation page, your account is canceled and you and all users will lose access to the account at the end of the current billing period.
